You don't have to skate to be involved in derby! There are different levels of league membership and involvement. Some of the perks of becoming involved with the league besides the benefits of health, fitness and sport, include: friendship and a family like community, social interaction, community involvement, volunteer opportunities, inclusion in league functions, and most importantly fun! There are plenty of opportunities for skating and non-skating members as shown below..

Sierra All-Stars (SAS) is Sierra Regional Roller Derby's womens' travel team. The Coaches Committee selects players all year-round based on performance, practice attendance, and skills. If you are interested in learning more, reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org
Sign up for our new skater program
The new skater program is a six week program for never ever skaters, where our veterans will take you through a series of off skate mental and physical trainings. This program is intended to be fun and informative. You will be guided through everything you need to know before you even put on skates. At the end of the six week program you will be ready join practices as a fresh meat skater. You will get to meet other potential athletes at your level and build individual and group skills. We can't play our favorite game without you guys! If you are interested in becoming a member of our Referee Crew please email us. Our skating officials are expected to attend certain practices and participate in the league like any other member. These officials will also work home bouts and travel with the teams. They are a highly valued member of our team. Some skating officials are also players, some are not. Brand new participants who are interested in becoming skating officials will need to complete our New Skater Program before being cleared to skate.
Non-skating officials are also a valuable member of our team. These folks do vital things for the league like track stats, keep score, keep time, track penalties, and much more. NSO's may be expected to participate in practices and bouts, as well as travel with teams. If you are interested in becoming a member of our NSO Crew, please email us.
Want to be a part of a different type of team? This ain't no Dallas Cowboys, jeerleaders can come in all shapes, sizes, genders, and colors. The only requirement is enthusiasm! SRRD needs passionate, talented people to keep moral high on the track. Let us know if you are interested in becoming a team Jeerleader.
SRRD needs volunteers to help with tasks like, selling tickets, selling merch, security, emergency services, etc... Volunteers are often non-skating league members, skating league members, family and friends of league members, fans, you name it, almost anyone can be a volunteer. If you are interested in helping out the league in an capacity please let us know.
